How can I track the progress of my views?
Each video you send out has a unique ID. When the video is watched, you will be notified of that fact immediately via email. In addition, if you log in to your account and visit the 'Manage Views' page under your account information, you will be able to see additional information including how much of the presentation was viewed.

How long are individual links good for?
Each individual view link can be watched several times. You can always email out another view to a prospect if one of your views expires.

Note that posting a link on a public website, account sharing, or abuse of site features using automated scripting without written permission may be cause for your account to be terminated.

Can I send unsolicited business e-mails with this system?
If you send out an email (especially an unsolicited business email) and your prospect complains to your ISP, you will in most cases be marked as a spammer.
If they get two complaints against you, you are usually "done" as far as they are concerned. If we get two complaints from prospects that a member is sending unsolicited business emails, we also terminate that member's account with prejudice.

I create my custom templates from Microsoft Word (or a similar program) and paste them into the custom template editor. Why do my templates not display correctly?
Our custom template feature is designed so that you can create your templates from within the editor. Other programs format the text data in different ways. We recommend you create your custom templates exclusively with the tools provided by the built-in editor we've created.

Why is the movie pausing (buffering)?
Buffering can occur for the following reasons:

  • the connection speed of the server is faster than your actual Internet connection
  • you have other programs accessing the Internet
  • you have a wireless connection that is slowing the data rate
  • your connection is being slowed during a peak Internet usage time
If this happens, pause the movie, close any programs that may be accessing the internet, and resume using the Play button.

Why can't I hear anything?
First check that your speakers or headset are connected, turned on, and the volume is up. If the problem is specific to the movie, then there are several possible causes for the issue:

  • The installed audio driver may be outdated
  • The default device for sound playback may not match the installed audio card
  • The Windows system registry may be missing key entries for a Microsoft codec named 'WaveMapper'
These problems can generally be resolved by updating your audio device drivers; consult the manufacturer's web site for the updated driver software. To find the device manufacturer, go to Start > Run and run dxdiag. The device name and driver information will be available from the Sound tab.

My browser quits unexpectedly when launching the video
Please restart all instances of your browser on your computer and try again. If that does not resolve the issue, then the most likely scenario is that you simply need to update your Internet browser.

I am experiencing difficulty in getting your email invitation through to my prospect
Some users have reported that the more aggressive spam filters are dropping emails. The best way to correct this problem is to send the invitations via your own client and to personalize your invitation.

What can I do when the hyperlink doesn't resolve when I copy and paste into Microsoft Outlook?
You may get better results by using our automated "Send from your email client" method rather than the copy and paste method. Or, if using that method is not an option for you:

If you place your cursor at the end of the hyperlink and hit the "enter" key before sending the email, Outlook will often then render the hyperlink correctly.

Can I use the site with my mobile device or iPhone?
Yes! There's an optimized version of the site here which allows you to send links and view your prospect history. A link to switch between the optimized and standard site is also available at the bottom of every page when browsing the site from an iPod Touch or iPhone.

I'm having trouble getting the movie to play
First ensure that you have Adobe Flash installed on your browser; you can click here for the installation and instructions. The movies require Flash 9 or better to run; if you do not have a compatible version, you should be prompted at the player screen with a link to the laterst version.

Assuming you have a compatible version of Flash installed, other possible causes include:

  • The presence of pop-up/ad blocker software that specifically targets Flash content. Adjust the settings of your software to allow Flash and add pplonlinetools.com to your list of trusted sites.
  • Some Internet utilities, such as Norton Internet Utilities, perform functions similar to a firewall and may restrict viewing of ActiveX controls. As Flash requires ActiveX controls to render the video in Internet Explorer, you need to ensure that the program settings are set to allow ActiveX controls.
  • If you have a Restricted User account while running Windows XP/2000 and are running version 9.0.24.0 of the Flash player, there is a known issue that may interfere with playback. You will need to uninstall Flash using the utility provided by Adobe here and reinstall using the link provided above.
